MICHAEL Strahan shelved his famous smile as he somberly walked out of the ABC network studios.
The Good Morning America anchor has been putting on a brave face on-air, as he deals with an undisclosed family issue.

Michael was seen striding out of the Times Square studio Thursday morning.
The 51-year-old kept his eyes down as he tended to himself.
Michael was dressed warmly in a black tracksuit and matching black skull cap.
He clutched a copy of the day’s paper in his hand.
The normally jovial ex-football star appeared distracted and emotionless as he moved along.
DOWN TO EARTH
It was a stark difference from earlier in the morning, when he joked around with co-workers on GMA.
On Thursday, fill-in meteorologist Somara Theodore shared a video to her Instagram.
It featured many of the GMA hosts and crew members, including Lindsey Davis, Robin Roberts, DeMarco Morgan, Gio Benitez and Michael.
Somara started the video off with Linsey by saying: “Greeting earthlings.”
Then, Michael was in the frame and he said: “Greetings, my fellow earthlings.”
He then made Somara crack up by making wide eyes and funny faces at the camera.
Michael wore a gray-striped suit, a button-down shirt, and a patterned maroon tie.
Robin, 62, said the phrase very calmly and quietly.
“A little BTS this morning filling in for Ginger! Sending you good vibrations from your ABC family,” she captioned the post.
MICHAEL’S MOOD
Outside of work, Michael’s mood appears to change.
Michael, who was absent for three weeks from the morning show, looked like his mind was elsewhere as he exited his New York gym Wednesday.
The NFL Hall of Famer was still wearing his gray workout shirt and pants, and drops of sweat could be seen on his face.
Michael left his earbud in as he strode down the street.
He kept one hand in his pocket, as the other held a small salad.
Michael did not smile, and looked to be dispirited and dejected.
MISSING MYSTERY
Michael has also been silent on social media since his absence.
A source from ABC exclusively told The U.S. Sun that he is dealing with a “personal family matter.”
When fans started to get concerned about Michael’s absence, many reached out to see where he was.
“Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters,” a spokesperson from the network told The U.S. Sun last week.
“We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”
He did return to his hosting duties at Fox NFL Sunday at the weekend, after two weeks off.
He looked downcast during his appearance on the show while sharing his thoughts on the New York Giants‘ tough season.
