Fans will remember her from hit show Airline
Today she returned to the limelight once again after old clips of her went viral on TikTok.
Airline followed the highs and lows for those working for budget airline EasyJet.
Speaking about her new legion of younger fans, who are gripped on her sassy customer service at London Luton Airport, she told Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond: “The most bizarre thing is they say ‘my mum used to watch you, we think you are an icon’.
“Half them weren’t even born when it was on.”
She added: “It’s been a shock, ashock.”
Jane revealed that she was never paid for being on the show and was intitially told she would be filmed for a year hours – but it ended up being years.
“We never expected it to be what it was”, Jane admitted:
These days, Jane runs her own cake business, saying: “I am lucky enough that I am busy enough.”
Airline was broadcast between 1998 and 2007, providing reality TV before the likes of TOWIE and Love Island.
Trouble-shooter Jane worked as Operations Manager on the ground at EasyJet’s check-in desk, dealing with angry – and sometimes stupid – customers on a daily basis.
She was known for her witty put downs, that she uttered to late holidaymakers and people who missed their flights.
These include, “poor time management on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine”, “it is easy if you get here on time” and “it’s an aeroplane, not a bus, you see?”.
