Love this! Granted I just got it today and my 16-year-old pug has eaten out of it just once. But! He was able to eat so much easier. I was worried that it would be a bit too tall for him (I measured him before I bought it) but that was not the case. He is slightly bigger/taller than your average pug. Not as big as a puggle, but still big nonetheless weighing 26lbs in his prime. Now down to 22lbs with his health declining. That is a big reason for this style of bowl.
This dish is perfect for our medium (40 lb) mixed breed dog. He used to cough every time he ate out of his dish on the floor which caused us to worry about him and the possibility of maybe even someday facing bloat. This elevated dish has completely alleviated that. It is great that the metal bowl is removable for easy filling and cleaning.
